Our Mission

The mission of Supplier Development Academy is to establish a succession plan that will grow and sustain diverse supplier participation by providing a significant base of resources including:

  • Assessments and Gap Analysis
  • Customized Business Curriculum
  • Quarterly Business Intensives
  • Access to Capital
  • Coaching and Mentoring and
  • Match-Making

to assist us in achieving and sustaining the Billion Dollar Roundtable performance benchmark established by leadership. Our 1By21 initiative is to achieve $1 Billion Dollars in diverse spend by the year 2021.

Program Management

Supplier Development Academy is managed by PPICW, a small minority and female owned business. The SDA team is led by Felicia A. Phillips and T. Renee' Smith.

Dr. Felicia Phillips is the CEO of PPICW, a consulting agency specializing in Organizational Strategy, Diversity & Inclusion, and supply chain. She has more than two decades of experience in advising senior leaders with municipalities, corporations and non-profits. She is a member of The Forbes Coaches Council and has been featured in The Huffington Post, Atlanta Journal & Constitution, Rolling Out and UpScale Magazine, CBS Better Mornings, TCL, BET AND Centric TV Networks.

Dr. Phillips has worked with Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy, The University of Phoenix, Fulton County, City of Atlanta, The Environmental Protection Agency, and many other organizations. PPICW is Georgia Minority Supplier Diversity Council’s 2018 Class I Supplier of the Year.

T. Renee’ Smith has been referred to by many as the Business Scalability Expert. She uses her entrepreneurial experience and expertise of more than twenty-four years to help small businesses and corporations increase their competitive edge by executing innovative business strategies and leveraging internal processes.

Mrs. Smith has performed strategic planning for fortune 500 corporations and non-profits including Delta Air Lines, Georgia Power, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, City of Atlanta, Greater Women’s Business Council, and YMCA.

Renee’ has served as a business expert in various publications, including Cosmopolitan, The Atlanta Tribune, and Entrepreneur magazine. T. Renee’ is a certified Executive and Business Coach, a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and a member of International Coach

Vision and Value

Our 1By21 initiative is to achieve $1 Billion in diverse spend by the year 2021. As a customer-driven company, Delta Air Lines is focused on generating strategic business partners that reflect the diversity of the customers that fly our planes.  To accomplish this we are committed to invest in developing corporate-ready suppliers with the scale and capabilities to compete for Delta contracts and other corporate contracts across various commodities and services.
